Thanks, Jessica for bringing the "Centerfold" issue to my attention I believe it has been fixed.
Cheeseland, United States - February 3, 2002 at 2:56 PM EST
Did anyone else have trouble with the "Centerfold"
download? It cuts off halfway through the song....
Philly, Pennsylvania, United States - February 3, 2002 at 10:33 AM EST
I am one of your biggest fans. I am the number one groupie. I see you guys where ever you play. You have to learn some Eddie Money though. Like 'Two tickets to Paradise' or'Take me home tonight'. Eddie Money rocks
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States - February 2, 2002 at 9:04 PM EST
Hi guys.. Can't wait to see you all at Nicks on the 9th. The 10th is my 25th birthday..so at midnight you will be helping me celabrate my birth....thanks
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - January 30, 2002 at 11:14 PM EST
So I saw you guys in Sharon last weekend and had some requests but you don't play most of them. I thought of some more...Heat of the Moment (Asia) Tenderness (General Public) Pretty in Pink (Psych. Furs) then there's always Social D. I'll be at Nick's on the 9th or whenever that is...Thanks, Emily

United States - January 30, 2002 at 1:43 AM EST
Exactly what kind of stains are you talking about?
United States - January 29, 2002 at 9:27 PM EST
thanks sarah! I am glad you like it, however I don't think you want velveeta drunk in your living room, those pesky stains the boys leave are hard to get out of the carpet.
United States - January 28, 2002 at 7:36 PM EST
I'm sitting here listening to your CD right now and it's KICKASS!! (I can even hear myself screaming) I suggest everyone download it, pop it in the CD player, crank the volume up, and start drinking heavily...it's like having Velveeta in your living room!
I love you guys and hope to see you at Brownie's this weekend..."Play Bon Jovi!!"
Blackwood, New Jersey, United States - January 28, 2002 at 3:05 PM EST
Great to see you guys back at The Hot Rod. Sounded great as usual. Wish I could have seen that there was a band on stage during the first set. Oh, I get it, it was "Guess The Band Night" The band plays in a shroud of mystery while the drunken crowd tries to guess who they came to see. Brilliant! A great new drinking game!
Thanks for the shot of Jager! Should be at Nick's Fat City!
Akron, Ohio, United States - January 27, 2002 at 9:56 PM EST
You guys were great last night. Even though some people were getting a little out of hand and pushing me into the speakers a whole lot, I still managed to have a great time, as always. Thanks for playing my song (Blackpack).
United States - January 26, 2002 at 12:43 PM EST
You guys were OUTSTANDING last week in Pottsville for the Winter Carnival! I have heard so many great comments from those who attended and everyone wants to see you back again next year! Brent, thanks again for everything. I hope to get out that way to see you guys again soon! Take care
United States - January 24, 2002 at 2:50 PM EST

Hey, you guys should have all ages shows in Pittsburgh! I go to Penn State Beaver and am only 19. I love 80's music but I have to miss out at Nick's Fat City because I am not 21!
Beaver, Pennsylvania, United States - January 2, 2002 at 5:12 PM EST
First off, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I just wanted to tell you guys that you were, as always, awesome on Saturday. It was a hell of a show, and we brought about 10 cheese virgins down to check you out. So, their Cheesy Cherries have been popped, and they had an awesome time. As far as that guy who jumped off the stage....well, a little note for cheese fans everywhere...please please please, especially in a place like Nick's, do not jump off the stage. A friend of mine, who is now a Velveeta fan, did get hurt by the guy. She is doing fine though, the doctor told her it was just muscle stain on her neck. She is stiff and sore but fine. And she wishes Velveeta fans everywhere a Happy New Year. Brent, get my email, we want to book you for a private show in June. We'll see you guys next time.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - January 2, 2002 at 8:15 AM EST
You guys rocked at Nick's Fat City Saturday night! Thanks for play the Diamond tunes...they kicked ass!
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - January 1, 2002 at 10:01 PM EST
To the audience at Brownies on 12/28 I do want to extend an apology for the volume. I did get a little carried away mixing the 'cheese', but I thought that I had a good vibe going, and the boys do like to 'Rock like Fuck'. I WAS asked by the management to tone it down a bit. I hope everyone enjoyed the show and I hope that your eardrums didn't bleed too much....
State College, Pennsylvania, United States - January 1, 2002 at 9:55 PM EST
You guys were especially good at Brownies. I guess it never hurts to be intoxicated while playing in a bar. Bones, you were awesome playing drums and a little humorous talking in between the songs also. I look forward to seeing you guys at the other brownies on the 5th and also as much as i can when i go back to penn state for the semester.
United States - January 1, 2002 at 2:46 PM EST
You guys were great New Year's Eve!!! We came from New Jersey to catch your show!! How can I get hooked up with one of your CDs???
Lakewood, New Jersey, United States - January 1, 2002 at 10:31 AM EST
Happy New Year and Rock Like Fuck!
Baltimore, Maryland, United States - January 1, 2002 at 1:24 AM EST
You guys kicked ass at Browies the other night. It was loud as hell too. And of course, you were all retarded, even more so than usual. But the best part of all was the quality of sound blasting from the speakers. You didn't need to be leaning up against them (Brent!) or anywhere near them for that matter. I just happened be right next to them the whole time we were there. Ladies, you know what I am talking about if you were ANYWHERE on the dance floor! Was it or was it not a good time?!?!
Philly, Pennsylvania, United States - December 30, 2001 at 2:48 AM EST

To The English teacher,
The world has enough bad things going on in it right now. People like you are making it worse. This is a time to be good to one anoher. Chill out, have a beer, get over yourself. This is a postive place to worship Velveeta not to be a stuck up snob. If it's not about the band then don't write it.
United States - December 6, 2001 at 1:23 AM EST
Do you guys know how early you are playing at Brownies next weekend? I don't want a repeat performance of last time...I got there for like the last 5 songs because I had no idea how early you were really starting. Can anyone help?? Anyone? Please write back if you know...
Philly, United States - December 5, 2001 at 9:18 PM EST
Well, first things first, where's your shitter, I got a turtle head....wait that's a movie. Oh, I'm in the Cheese guestbook. Well, it took a few days to calm down here at work, so I got a chance to tell you guys that was another excellent performance by the Cheese. I liked the change in variety of songs that you guys played. Your list is so extensive, it is good to hear a lot of different tunes when you guys come to the 'burgh. Thanks for the great show. And Brian, thanks for the guitar string. Oh my god, I'm a groupie! I got a guitar string! I need heeeelp!
Moon Township, Pennsylvania, United States - December 5, 2001 at 11:33 AM EST
Not only do you have problems with spelling names correctly, you seem to have a problem with ignoring apostrophes. The "your" you want is "you're," short for you are. And also, when you say "hotties", you also need an apostrophe. I hope everyone learned as much as CrazCrush did from this lesson.
The English teacher
United States - December 3, 2001 at 5:13 PM EST
I didn't spell his name wrong my keyboard sticks. I did not notice I was missing a letter. Your right I should spell such a hotties name right.
United States - December 2, 2001 at 1:28 AM EST

York, Pennsylvania, United States - November 30, 2001 at 9:01 AM EST
Funny for a girl who wants him, she can't spell his name correctly. By the way, don't encourage him.
United States - November 29, 2001 at 2:43 PM EST
What's it like to have almost every girl want you? It must drive your girlfriends mad!

How was homecoming? This is the first year since I first started there (96) that I have missed it. Did you have fun doing the parade? I am sure the Saloon and Crowbar were both packed. I know I would have been there if I was in town.
United States - November 7, 2001 at 5:01 PM EST
Hey guys, you totally rocked on friday night at the saloon. I especially enjoyed hearing bad touch, even though john told me he was lying when he said you would play it. Bones, sorry if i was a little scarier than usual but i was intoxicated at the moment and i was trying to say hi to you all night. I had a great time as always seeing you and it's always a memorable night at the saloon when you guys are there.

Hi Guys! I have heard nothing but awsome things about you guys! My friends Heather and Justin drive down to see you guys from Scranton (2 1/2 hr drive) all the time just to see yas! Do you guys every play anywhere where we youngins can go see you ??? I hate the thought of having to wait 3 years to see you guys! It would be just pure torture! Please let me know!

Are you really playing in Altoona on Sat. November, 24? The Saloon has you on their calendar as playing there on that day and your calendar says Altoona. Could you let us know? We have a PSU alum bride with a bachelorette party that weekend. Thanks!!!
Montoursville, Pennsylvania, United States - October 30, 2001 at 9:55 PM EST
Sorry, that comment (or comments I should say because I sent it twince by accident) was from me CATHY. Not that it makes any difference to anyone and I am not trying to hide the fact that I am a cheeshead. Everyone I know knows that I am a big fan of the cheese. Anyway...John, you do an awesomoe job on the web site! Keep up the good work and good job on including Ed's birthday on the calendar =)
Philly, Pennsylvania, United States - October 30, 2001 at 4:52 PM EST
Well anonymous, if that's your real name...it's the Dudeman who is master of this domain. Give Mr. Matthews a pat on the back for keeping up with the site, it can be a chore. By the way, no offense anonymous people out there, but doesn't anyone have a name? You shouldn't hide the fact that you bleed orange like the rest of us. I can't speak for the guys in the band, but I am sure the messages mean a lot more if they can tie a thought to a name. It makes the guestbook what it is supposed to be, a signed 'guest' book. You don't need to put your email down or anything, just a first name, nickname, whatever. Again, no offense the author, it was a good comment, just my thought...
P.S. Brian, Round & Round by Ratt does kick some serious ass. Don't you think Brent could put a wig on and try to sing it a la his Quiot Riot interpretation from Arts Fest like 4 years ago (at least I think that is who sang it...not sure...very drunk at the time, maybe it was only a dream...)? By the way, do you have problems keeping your beer cold in the cave?
P.P.S. Almost forgot...my two years of 80's exile are over...lock the cellar door because I'm moving back East this weekend and living/working in Maryland, only a 3 hour tour from PSU. Look out...
Chicago, Illinois, United States - October 30, 2001 at 2:39 AM EST
I have to say that I have so much more respect now for whoever takes care of this website stuff (who is it by the way?)...because you included quite possibly the MOST important day in the month of December. I am talking, of course, about Eddie Vedder's birthday!
United States - October 29, 2001 at 6:20 PM EST
I just have to tell you that I have a WHOLE new respect for whoever does the website stuff because you have Eddie Vedder's birthday included for the month of December! That is beautiful! He is a god!
United States - October 29, 2001 at 4:15 PM EST
I didn't get a chance to add to the guestbook since seeing you down at Nick's on the 13th. You guys were awesome. Bones, we missed you, and don't worry, as you guys all know, Zip, once a memeber of the Cheese, always a memeber of the Cheese.
One last note, I like to come back and read the guest book now and again, and I like to see what other people have to say about the band. I am glad to see that we have a 100% agreement, that Cheese makes it taste better. You guys truly are the greatest party band out there. And as far as Kelly's suggestions are concerned...some very nice choices. Brian, if you want to play Round and Round, talk to me, you know I'm always up for some singing. :o)
Well, have a good one guys, keep coming to Pittsburgh, and we will see you in December.
Moon Township, Pennsylvania, United States - October 20, 2001 at 3:43 PM EDT
You guys were awesome at Brownies last night! I can't believe you aren't going to be back til December!
United States - October 20, 2001 at 1:08 PM EDT
'em are stupid and remember Edie Tarbox is good food..... She's beautiful
United States - October 20, 2001 at 5:06 AM EDT
It was very nice for you to honor a nice burgonian like me. I know people (namely WDVE) make fun of me, but i'm a real person. I am a bar staple in the SS( that's South Side for the lame folk) but i have always been treated with the full power of iron. (i.e., RESPECT to the lamers)
Anywho, Keep it crankin West End bridge traffic style.. and ther's no room for antelopes in the liberty tubes outbound, especially the left lane, now that thay make yinz go straight!
--The P is for Picnic Groves and game 'preserves'!
United States - October 20, 2001 at 1:52 AM EDT
I also saw the band at Nick's and agree with Stanley P. Great show! Can't wait to see you again!!!!!
Hey Stanley P> Is it true that if I send you a self-abused stomped antelope, I can have a copy of that RATT Transcript????? Also Donnie Iris' Commercial - Isn't it for PANTS ANAT????
Disclaimer: I in no way support the self-abuse of antelopes or any other animal. I'm just playing off of Stanley P's posting.
Uniontown, Pennsylvania, United States - October 20, 2001 at 12:21 AM EDT
I was down Marios last week when I heard your band down the street at nicks, so I came in..great show! Anyway, since you mentioned ratt on here, I had to tell yinz this story.
I know deez dudes from carnegie that work with them guys from Ratt at the Photohut. They said Donnie Iris is workin on a commercial for a discount clothing store. Them said that it features Ratt on top of a Bonneville singin "polyester brown" instead of "round and round". I think Donnie works there too.
Anyway, weird coincidence huh? Cause you were in the burgh, and donnie's from the burgh, and ratt works at the Photohut! Crazy world, Crazy world. Stanley P, overan' aut!
United States - October 19, 2001 at 3:13 PM EDT
Can't we all just get along...Share the love, not the hate =)
United States - October 18, 2001 at 10:02 PM EDT
Brian>> I was not trying to slam Kelly or any other fan. I understand your point perfectly. I was sort of harsh and missed the fact that she was making suggestions and not saying that she didn't enjoy the band. I think this is a great forum to make suggestions and put your views out there. Sorry if I was mean. :(
United States - October 18, 2001 at 6:27 PM EDT
Yeah you tell 'em Brian!
United States - October 18, 2001 at 6:17 PM EDT
Rupie I don't think you got me at all. My comment was not to say that I didn't like or didn't know any of those songs. Anyone who
And if I have to come out of my cave to respond to another.......................................................................................
Cheeseland, United States - October 18, 2001 at 6:03 PM EDT
Hey now, everyone needs to chill over Kelly's suggestions. They are just that, suggestions. I am sure Velveeta is not offended and obviously Brian has heard her cry. This is America Dammit!!! Let her have her rights!!!
United States - October 18, 2001 at 11:24 AM EDT
Kelly> If you were a true Velveeta fan, like so many of us are,you would not ask them to go above and beyond the call of duty and sing songs that they don't know or can't sing. Or sing songs for that matter that no one has ever heard of. People keep coming back to see Velveeta because they are talented musicians that sing great 80's songs that WE ALL KNOW. I had no desire to listen to a Ratt song back in the day and have no desire to listen to one now. Thank you Velveeta for not changing and playing what we know and love.
United States - October 17, 2001 at 9:28 PM EDT
SATURDAY NIGHT AT HOT ROD, ROCKIN WITH VELVEETA! Party Time! It's gonna be cold, so everybody get out and WARM UP THE HOT ROD!
SEE YOU THERE!

State College, Pennsylvania, United States - October 16, 2001 at 2:09 AM EDT
Fellas and fans of the fellas (not necessarily meaning
heterosexual females, but more specifically all those
who enjoy Velveeta- the band, not the ingredient):
I think your message board should have a feature that
would say "fill out all the fields you stupid bastard" if
someone should try leave a field blank. This is the
way it is done on the message board for Philly based
band, Minus Bluff. I might add that I nearly lost my
shit when I tried to post anonymously on their site!
State College, Pennsylvania, United States - October 16, 2001 at 2:06 AM EDT
Personally, I don't see how ANY song that Velveeta plays could be bad, but it is understandable that you want to play the songs you do best. Speaking of which, you guys should think about playing Rage on Friday night because that song is crazy! I have never seen an entire bar full of people get so into a song! And that has happened every time I have seen you play that...You guys rock at whatever song you play! See you Friday!
Philly, Pennsylvania, United States - October 15, 2001 at 9:57 PM EDT
Speaking for myself, someone who actually plays for Velveeta I think those are wonderful suggestions Kelly and in fact we have also played or attempted a few of the songs in the before mentioned list. Some are just too difficult to sing for myself or the other members. We won't perform songs if we don't think they will be represented as the songs deserve. So Kelly thank you for the actual productive addition to our Guestbook and please disregard the disrespectful people who can't even put their names in here. - Brian
Cheeseland, United States - October 15, 2001 at 7:04 PM EDT
Um the reason Velveeta doesn't play any of those songs is because they all suck!!!
United States - October 15, 2001 at 6:11 PM EDT
I tried to send this through the request link, but it didn't work so I'm gonna post it here.
Top 10 Songs I Didn't See On Your Songlist (but would love to hear)
She's A Beauty - The Tubes
Don't Tell Me You Love Me - Night Ranger
Turn Up The Radio - Autograph
Your Love - The Outfield
One Thing Leads To Another - The Fixx

I am so excited to have found your website, I am a PSU alum, now living in the Philly area. I have been going through Velveeta withdrawl since I graduated and left PSU about a year ago. I am so excited to see that you play at Brownie's. I will definitely be there!!! I see that according to these entries that you have a CD too, how do I get one? You guys are the greatest band ever, some of my greatest college memories are from Thursday nights at the Crowbar. Look forward to seeing you at Brownie's.
Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, United States - October 4, 2001 at 12:55 PM EDT
sorry that the time was incorrect for philly this weekend all times(that we know of) for upcoming shows are correct! thanks Brent
United States - October 3, 2001 at 3:24 PM EDT
I was also VERY disappointed about your playing time last night. I hope the times are posted correctly for the 10/19 show in Plymouth.

on a happy note: We just had the luxury of having VELVEETA rock our reception party at our wedding, and we wanted to formally thank all of you guys for making that day like no other. Every time we hear you guys, it's like an addiction and we want more and more......I can't tell you how many people have commented on how awesome you were, and how much fun they had at our wedding because of the jammin' band. I believe you have just started (expanded) your harrisburg area cult and we can only beg and plead for you guys to play down here more often.......Thanks again Bones, Brent, Brain, John and Mike for making my wife turn into a rock star!!!!!!!!!

Not to make light of the current situation, but I feel I need to change the subject. I cannot wait for Velveeta to cone back to Philly. I feel like it has been forever since they were here (maybe because I have no kind of recollection of the last time they were here!!) See you at Brownies!

At first I was shocked, then sad, now I'm just mad as hell! To see an act of such disregard for human life! These people responsible must be extingusted from our society so all respectful humans can be safe to live a life they deserve! They may have thought they were going to bring us to our knees, but they are very wrong! We are American, we are proud and we will not be afraid!
My thoughts go out to all the victims and the heros in the form of all the police, fireman and volunteers who are banning together to show the world what we are made of!
Our freedom is something too many people in our past have fought for, and we will not let their fight be in vain! The best thing we can do is to continue to do what we had done everyday before this. It's our duty to keep purchasing products and to put money into our economy as not to let it fail. I'm going to do my small part by traveling to Sharon, PA to see Velveeta. I'll bring pictures from last show. They will be for sale. I'll donate a portion of the sales to The Red Cross for their efforts in helping the victims of this tragedy.
They say time heals all. As time goes by and the memories fade, I hope we don't lose the unity we are feeling right now as a nation! God Bless Freedom!
See you tonight in Sharon!

I am sure that Velveeta would be willing to donate a portion of their proceeds during this weekend's gigs to any relief and rescue effort. Perhaps they could rally their huge group of faithful followers to get involved show these lunatics that we won't be kept down.

Brent, I am sorry you had to share your birthday with such a horrific event. And I don't think there really is a designated appropriate forum to discuss these kinds of things...Considering it is affecting every single one of us everywhere. This (unfortunately) is going to be the topic of conversation for a long long time. Everyone involved is in my prayers and I feel the most sincere compassion for anyone who has lost anyone in the tragedy. Hopefully we will stop this before it gets any worse...

I suppose this is not the appropriate forum, but I would like to echo the sentiments of the previous entry. Please take a moment to think about those who lost their lives in this tragedy. My sympathies go out to all those with friends and family affected. The New York office of my company we closely interact with occupied 12 floors in the second WTC building above the 90th floor. My heart goes out to them and all those impacted. They will not be forgotten.
