Welcome to the Velveeta Guestbook v2.0!
Personally, I don't see how ANY song that Velveeta plays could be bad, but it is understandable that you want to play the songs you do best. Speaking of which, you guys should think about playing Rage on Friday night because that song is crazy! I have never seen an entire bar full of people get so into a song! And that has happened every time I have seen you play that...You guys rock at whatever song you play! See you Friday!
Philly, Pennsylvania, United States - October 15, 2001 at 9:57 PM EDT
Speaking for myself, someone who actually plays for Velveeta I think those are wonderful suggestions Kelly and in fact we have also played or attempted a few of the songs in the before mentioned list. Some are just too difficult to sing for myself or the other members. We won't perform songs if we don't think they will be represented as the songs deserve. So Kelly thank you for the actual productive addition to our Guestbook and please disregard the disrespectful people who can't even put their names in here. - Brian
Cheeseland, United States - October 15, 2001 at 7:04 PM EDT
Um the reason Velveeta doesn't play any of those songs is because they all suck!!!
United States - October 15, 2001 at 6:11 PM EDT

I am so excited to have found your website, I am a PSU alum, now living in the Philly area. I have been going through Velveeta withdrawl since I graduated and left PSU about a year ago. I am so excited to see that you play at Brownie's. I will definitely be there!!! I see that according to these entries that you have a CD too, how do I get one? You guys are the greatest band ever, some of my greatest college memories are from Thursday nights at the Crowbar. Look forward to seeing you at Brownie's.
Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, United States - October 4, 2001 at 12:55 PM EDT
sorry that the time was incorrect for philly this weekend all times(that we know of) for upcoming shows are correct! thanks Brent
United States - October 3, 2001 at 3:24 PM EDT
I was also VERY disappointed about your playing time last night. I hope the times are posted correctly for the 10/19 show in Plymouth.
United States - September 30, 2001 at 12:42 PM EDT
When did you decide that you were going to play early? I got there at like 10:45 tonight and you said we have time for about one more song about 20 minutes later...have to say i was VERY disappointed! But I guess it was a last minute thing...I will see you when I come back up to psu to vist and when you come back to the other Brownies...See ya around!!!
United States - September 30, 2001 at 3:48 AM EDT
Just wanted to say that you guys are awesome. Keep up the good job.
Long Live the USA
State College, Pennsylvania, United States - September 28, 2001 at 6:00 PM EDT
on a happy note: We just had the luxury of having VELVEETA rock our reception party at our wedding, and we wanted to formally thank all of you guys for making that day like no other. Every time we hear you guys, it's like an addiction and we want more and more......I can't tell you how many people have commented on how awesome you were, and how much fun they had at our wedding because of the jammin' band. I believe you have just started (expanded) your harrisburg area cult and we can only beg and plead for you guys to play down here more often.......Thanks again Bones, Brent, Brain, John and Mike for making my wife turn into a rock star!!!!!!!!!

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, United States - September 27, 2001 at 11:19 AM EDT
Not to make light of the current situation, but I feel I need to change the subject. I cannot wait for Velveeta to cone back to Philly. I feel like it has been forever since they were here (maybe because I have no kind of recollection of the last time they were here!!) See you at Brownies!
Philly, United States - September 18, 2001 at 11:41 AM EDT
At first I was shocked, then sad, now I'm just mad as hell! To see an act of such disregard for human life! These people responsible must be extingusted from our society so all respectful humans can be safe to live a life they deserve! They may have thought they were going to bring us to our knees, but they are very wrong! We are American, we are proud and we will not be afraid!
My thoughts go out to all the victims and the heros in the form of all the police, fireman and volunteers who are banning together to show the world what we are made of!
Our freedom is something too many people in our past have fought for, and we will not let their fight be in vain! The best thing we can do is to continue to do what we had done everyday before this. It's our duty to keep purchasing products and to put money into our economy as not to let it fail. I'm going to do my small part by traveling to Sharon, PA to see Velveeta. I'll bring pictures from last show. They will be for sale. I'll donate a portion of the sales to The Red Cross for their efforts in helping the victims of this tragedy.
They say time heals all. As time goes by and the memories fade, I hope we don't lose the unity we are feeling right now as a nation! God Bless Freedom!
See you tonight in Sharon!
Akron, Ohio, United States - September 14, 2001 at 10:55 AM EDT
I am sure that Velveeta would be willing to donate a portion of their proceeds during this weekend's gigs to any relief and rescue effort. Perhaps they could rally their huge group of faithful followers to get involved show these lunatics that we won't be kept down.
United States - September 13, 2001 at 4:53 PM EDT
Brent, I am sorry you had to share your birthday with such a horrific event. And I don't think there really is a designated appropriate forum to discuss these kinds of things...Considering it is affecting every single one of us everywhere. This (unfortunately) is going to be the topic of conversation for a long long time. Everyone involved is in my prayers and I feel the most sincere compassion for anyone who has lost anyone in the tragedy. Hopefully we will stop this before it gets any worse...
United States - September 12, 2001 at 10:49 PM EDT
To say that yesterday will be a brithday I will not forget is true, thoughts and prayers to all of those affected.
state college, United States - September 12, 2001 at 10:17 AM EDT
I suppose this is not the appropriate forum, but I would like to echo the sentiments of the previous entry. Please take a moment to think about those who lost their lives in this tragedy. My sympathies go out to all those with friends and family affected. The New York office of my company we closely interact with occupied 12 floors in the second WTC building above the 90th floor. My heart goes out to them and all those impacted. They will not be forgotten.
Chicago, Illinois, United States - September 12, 2001 at 3:29 AM EDT
I think we should take a few minutes to say a prayer for everyone that was involved in the tragedy today. It's scary, you know, it really makes you think. Things are not going to be the same for a LONG time to come...
United States - September 11, 2001 at 4:00 PM EDT
The cd's that we got came from arts fest at the Crowbar. It is incredible. It's like being at a show. However, it is pretty old stuff. It would be good (hint hint) if the band would make another one of the more recent stuff they do like Weezer, Sttroke 9, etc.
United States - September 11, 2001 at 1:17 PM EDT
Where are these CD's coming from? Someone tell me!!!!
United States - September 9, 2001 at 12:28 PM EDT
Mag, they played backpack at the saloon?? why don't i remember that?!
United States - September 8, 2001 at 11:32 PM EDT
And what would that exception be??
United States - September 8, 2001 at 11:31 PM EDT
You guys totally rocked this weekend at the saloon, especially when you played blackpack. I really wish you were playing here again tonight. I gots to thank my sister Cathy for getting me hooked on you guys. Now I can't get enough cheese.
State College, Pennsylvania, United States - September 8, 2001 at 8:55 PM EDT
what do you mean, 'one of the ones I would do'? Is that how you judge people? They are all pretty great guys. I doubt that they would 'do' anybody. well, with the one obvious exception.
United States - September 8, 2001 at 8:58 AM EDT
Damn, I would sleep with you for nothing, plus I already have a cd (I listen to it at least once a day!) As long as Mr. Anonymous is one of the ones I would do...Can I get a hint???
United States - September 7, 2001 at 4:55 PM EDT
Entry 196, you'll have to sleep with entry 200 in order
to recieve that V'eeta CD. Bonus tracks may cost
extra though. See you 'tween the sheets.
United States - September 6, 2001 at 6:11 PM EDT
Hey, just wanna comment on your drummer, he's a damn good drummer, really can keep a good beat, and has skills. Just please feed that motherfucker, hes damn skinny
Nicks Fat City, United States - September 6, 2001 at 1:09 PM EDT
I very much regret leaving before the last set as it has just been brought to my attention that I missed the Rage song. I got what I deserved I suppose, but at least it allowed a few of the many people STILL LINED UP AROUND THE CORNER AT 1:00 AM to get in for a while.
But what I did not miss may go down as one of my all time greatest Velveeta moments. UNSKINNY BOP? Are you kidding me? THAT WAS SO F&%$*@G AWESOME. I was too far back to see how everyone else reacted to it, but (all football related results considered) it made the whole weekend worth it for me.
I've seen you guys for 5 years and counting and I've never heard you play that song before. Thanks for constantly mixing things up. It makes every show unique! Keep up the good work and I hope to see you again soon!
Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, United States - September 4, 2001 at 11:13 AM EDT
Just wanted to tell you that you were AWESOME this weekend...Unfortunately I couldn't convince my friend to stay for Champs last night, but Friday and Saturday made up for it. The high point of the weekend had to be everyone screaming along to Rage at the Saloon. I looked behind me and literally everyone was jumping up and down screaming at the top of their lungs. It was a beatiful thing =) It almost made up for the fact that we had to wait in line for a long time to get into the Saloon (which I have never ever had to do before). But seriously, it was a great time. You guys rock! Can't wait til you come back to Philly!!!
Philly, United States - September 3, 2001 at 8:58 PM EDT
I was reading some entries in the guestbook and was wondering who I have to sleep with to get a CD? I have been waiting years for a CD. E-mail me and let me know.
Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania, United States - September 1, 2001 at 2:41 PM EDT
You guys should defiinitely play some Rage this weekend at the Saloon. I haven't seen you in a while and nothing compares to belting out %#@& you I won't do what you tell me!!!!
United States - August 30, 2001 at 12:25 AM EDT
I would like to thank Erik Shafer for being the ultimate Velveeta fan. This past saturday at the Hot Rod Cafe my bass drum head cracked at the start of the first set. Not good. Erik saw(and heard)what was going on so he then went home and came back with a bass drum head. He totally bailed me out of a tough spot. This act of kindness won't be forgotten, Erik thank you so much!

Akron, Ohio, United States - August 28, 2001 at 12:33 AM EDT
Who is the band playing in the set of pictures from August 4th? I thought they were Velveeta pictures and you guys are only in the background waiting to play. They look familiar to me though, I was just wondering who it is.
United States - August 27, 2001 at 12:19 AM EDT
Wow! What can I say! The other night at the Cafe was my first time seeing you guys ( yes up until then I was a Velveeta Virgin!) and I was completely floored! You guys really rocked! I have to admit I was kinda skeptical about driving all the way down to State College from Scranton to see you guys but after my freind Justin raved about you guys so much I thought what the hell might as well. I 'll tell ya what I would do it again in a heart beat! I can't wait to see you guys again! You definetly have a new fan here!
Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States - August 25, 2001 at 5:04 PM EDT
Thank God the Velveeta vacation is over! LOL. Now you guys can come back to Philly...I miss you guys! But, I don't understand why 23 East insists on having you open for someone. Don't they realize how many people you bring in alone???
Philly, Pennsylvania, United States - August 23, 2001 at 2:55 PM EDT
All of our pictures are very much alive! Just posted are Penn States May graduation pics from the kick ass show at the Crowbar. All other shows will be posted as quickly as possible. Thank you all for being so patient.
United States - August 21, 2001 at 2:11 PM EDT
Does anyone know when the pics are going to be posted from Arts Fest and the last time at Brownies? Or are they dead and gone...
Philly, Pennsylvania, United States - August 20, 2001 at 12:09 AM EDT
Brent and the Velveeta crew. It was great to see you on Graduation weekend at the Crowbar. It had been two years since I had seen your show before that - way too long!!!!!

YOU GUYS NEED TO TRY TO COME TO YESTERDAY'S PARTY MORE!!!! IT'S HARD FOR US TO DRIVE FROM JOHNSTOWN TO SEE YOU IN ALTOONA! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!
Johnstown, Pennsylvania, United States - August 14, 2001 at 3:40 PM EDT
How's it going Velveeta! Do you guys ever come down to Charleston, SC? If so, please let me know. I graduated from PSU back in 1996, and now live in Charleston, but went to many of your shows when I was in school. Also, does anyone know what ever happened to the Dirges? If you do, please email me with any info or a web site that says what they are doing now. Later!
United States - August 12, 2001 at 12:06 AM EDT
I think an 80s tribute band is awesome! I have written a new book, The Totally Awesome 80s Pop Music Trivia Book, which you can check out the provided URL link. It's all in there, from ABC to ZZ Top! Keep it cheesy!
United States - August 10, 2001 at 8:55 PM EDT
I guess the whole guest book fascination has died down. Not many entries anymore. I wanna see the pics from Arts Fest and Brownies!!! When are they going to be up!?!?!?
United States - August 9, 2001 at 6:28 PM EDT
Can you pleaaasssseeee come to Baltimore???? I miss hearing you and always ask around about how to get you guys down here :) I am no longer in the State College or Pittsburgh area and miss your awesome music. CONGRATS out to John and Dara!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Baltimore, Maryland, United States - August 5, 2001 at 12:30 AM EDT
I saw you guys last night at Fat City. Great show.
Reminded me of the many shows I saw at PSU. I have been
reading messages about a CD. Does one exist? If so, how
do I get one?
Pittsburgh, United States - July 29, 2001 at 4:04 PM EDT
Anyone know when the pics and/or webcast are going to be posted from Arts Fest?
United States - July 25, 2001 at 1:04 AM EDT
You guys are great, and we look forward to every time you're at Nick's Fat City, and I can't believe that we all made the picture in April. Anyway, good luck from a former Nittany Lion and please play forever.

United States - July 18, 2001 at 4:33 PM EDT
You guys rocked this weekend at Arts Fest! Can't wait to see you at Brownies on Saturday night. But, I don't know what I am going to do after that because I am going to go through severe Velveeta withdrawl!!!!
Philly, Pennsylvania, United States - July 17, 2001 at 12:20 AM EDT
Hey Guys, Great Show at the Crowbar for Arts Fest....I had an awesome time. I hope you guys make your way out to Scranton sometime...Or even Better, You should do a show out in ERIE(where i go to school)!!!!!!Hope to see you soon.
Scranton, Pennsylvania, United States - July 16, 2001 at 11:00 PM EDT

athens, Pennsylvania, United States - July 16, 2001 at 3:04 PM EDT
To Entry 163:
I hate to get too deep on ya and all but I have to disagree. You can judge the band as people by their music. When they are on stage they give off a certain persona. Each one is different and each one will be liked or disliked by someone. Personally, I could care less what they do off-stage. If Brent wants to charm every female between 90 and 100 pounds and just over the age of 21, that's his perogative. After all, the band was his brainchild and we can all thank him for that otherwise we'd have no guestbook, no Velveeta and no John and Mikey to gawk at.
Rock on Velveeta. What time is that show in Ardmore next weekend?
United States - July 15, 2001 at 2:01 AM EDT
Whodda thought Mike Lee would have ever got involved in something this successful :-) You guys are an inspiration to us all!
State College, Pennsylvania, United States - July 14, 2001 at 4:20 PM EDT
You guys rock louder, harder, and better than anyone
else! Can't wait till Saturday @ the Crows' Bar!
United States - July 13, 2001 at 1:11 PM EDT
This book is much more exciting when people are saying how much they love or hate Velveeta! Where did everyone go? Personally, I love you guys!
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States - July 12, 2001 at 6:00 PM EDT
Is anyone else looking forward to seeing the boys at Arts Fest?!?!?! I know I am! Saloon here we come...
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States - July 11, 2001 at 12:09 AM EDT
We've come to a conclusion- seeing Velveeta is like having sex. When you don't get it for a while, you almost forget how good it is, then once you get some, you want it all the time!! Had a great time and we honestly wish we could see you guys more often (harrisburg). Love you guys!!
Jess and Lauren
Pennsylvania, United States - July 7, 2001 at 3:18 PM EDT
Yeah, yeah, freedom of speech. If you despise them so much, why are you here? Let us enjoy Velveeta and the guestbook for true fans!
Bones, Brent, Brian, John and Mike: You guys are great! True fans come out to hear your music, not judge you as people. Keep doing what you're doing. : )
United States - July 6, 2001 at 6:51 PM EDT
Well, I wrote 158, and yes, I am very aware of freedom of speech. It just seems to me that this is not a place to bash Velveeta or its members. These guys work hard to play good music. Unless you're their wife or child, why should anything other than their music matter? It's a free country and you can say what you want, but if you don't like the Velveeta guys, then just don't sign the book. Let the true fans enjoy what it's intended for. Thank you. : )
United States - July 6, 2001 at 6:32 PM EDT
In regards to entries 158 & 159, have either of you ever heard of freedom of speech?
United States - July 6, 2001 at 11:39 AM EDT
brent, don't listen to all of this. you know you will be loved always!
United States - July 6, 2001 at 12:08 AM EDT
Seriously. If you don't have anything nice to say then keep your much shut. Velveeta rocks!! One week until Arts Fest baby!!!
United States - July 5, 2001 at 2:31 PM EDT
This is a guestbook for FANS...what's up with you people?!
United States - July 5, 2001 at 11:41 AM EDT
I didnt mean the rest of the band members I meant guys in general...
Philly, Pennsylvania, United States - July 5, 2001 at 1:20 AM EDT
United States - July 4, 2001 at 10:19 AM EDT
Where's the love? Brent is a really great guy! In fact, I think they all are some of the nicest guys I have ever met.
United States - July 4, 2001 at 1:05 AM EDT
MUCH, MUCH worse!
United States - July 3, 2001 at 11:29 PM EDT
I'd have to say he is worse then the rest of them
United States - July 3, 2001 at 9:23 AM EDT
Aww, don't pick on Brent...He is no worse than the rest of them!!!

Hey, thanks for letting me get up on stage with you guys and sing "Home Sweet Home" at The Saloon back on the 15th June. I got to sing the cheesiest song of all time...lol
State College, Pennsylvania, United States - June 29, 2001 at 2:48 AM EDT
alright, this thing isn't letting me vote! It says a vote has already been cast from my computer, but it wasn't me who voted, I have a shared computer :(
I wanna vote.....
United States - June 28, 2001 at 2:32 PM EDT
Ignore last entry. I meant AMEN to #144!!!
United States - June 28, 2001 at 10:15 AM EDT

Great contest Master Much! Of course, we all know what 2 songs will be best... Burning Down the House and Purple Rain!!! I miss you guys (Velveets and fellow fans)so much. Hopefully, we will all be together again soon!
Erie, Pennsylvania, United States - June 27, 2001 at 5:07 PM EDT
Sonia, hate to tell you but I think it isn't just ONE person who is writing about you. And guest books are for guests (plural), not just you....
United States - June 27, 2001 at 3:22 PM EDT
You always know you'll have a wicked good time at a Velveeta show.
Manchester, New Hampshire, United States - June 26, 2001 at 11:28 PM EDT
Great show at M-squared! Thanks Brent for coming and saying hello to my friend and I, that was quite a surprise!
Now, to whoever is writing things about me in this guestbook, leave me alone! I am just a fan just like everyone else!
Whoever is writing, don't you have better things to do?
Thanks for the last message #140, I do not need Valium or whatever it is.
Whoever you are, email me and tell me things via email because I am tired of all these things about me in the guestbook.
A guestbook for bands is to have fun and say nice things about the band and not fans.
You see my email address, write to me and tell me things, do not say things in the guestbook. Stop it!
I will get you for harrassment, whoever you are.
Sorry guys that I wrote this, but this needs to be fixed, once and for all.
Will see you guys at Nick's in July.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - June 25, 2001 at 12:44 PM EDT
I saw your show at PNC Park just yesterday. What fun! Thanks for coming down to play for the baseball fans, I loved it. I'm looking forward to catching you guys at Nick's next time you're in town. When I get my film developed, I'll send a copy of the dancing pierogies.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - June 24, 2001 at 6:01 PM EDT
Okay, so Sonia needs a Valium...or perhaps a few. But geez man, leave her alone, we all need to have an obsession. Oh and Brent may get all the attention but it's the quiet ones like John who are the most adorable (yes, you CAN be married AND adorable at the same time!)
United States - June 22, 2001 at 11:12 PM EDT
I miss you guys back at Dear Old State! Can't wait to see you at M Squared!
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - June 22, 2001 at 7:40 AM EDT
Sorry if anyone tried to vote earlier today - the favorite song poll was down for a period of time. Everything is fixed now...I hope.
Chicago, Illinois, United States - June 20, 2001 at 11:44 PM EDT
Thanks, guys, for a cure when we're homesick for PSU! And hey, being lactose intolerant isn't so bad, when you can still have VELVEETA!!!
See you at MSquared!
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States - June 19, 2001 at 11:48 AM EDT
Counting down the days til Arts Fest...Can't wait to see you guys at the Crowbar again, just like old times!
